A 3/4 pager for the "Talk" section of GQ magazine. The feature discussed how employers go about the
awkward business of sacking unwanted staff. I was directed to draw a montage of all the weird and bizarre
things one could do or potential career paths one could follow if you woke up tomorrow jobless...

I've created a micro-site, www.hermaninclus.co.uk , that will be dedicated to a new body of work that I'll
be exhibiting at the Nobrow Gallery in May. It's quite a departure from my more recognisable and, ultimately, more
commercial style of work; so I felt it appropriate to create a distinction so as not to muddy my current working portfolio.

I was commissioned by Ted Baker to illustrate their ideas for this year's Spring window display. The smallest russian doll is in the nude
and he rotates round on a spinning motor. The art direction encouraged me to draw in a much more cartoony pastiche of my usual working style
and I was somewhat out of my comfort zone on this job. Hopefully I won't get commissioned to draw another naked hairy bottom anytime
soon. This is a photo of the local Birmingham store, but I also need to try and get some photos of the larger London based shop fronts...

If you visit your local Marks and Spencer's store this Xmas (whether you live in the UK or elsewhere) you'll see my Xmas tree designs all over the place; from the
giant 25ft+ illuminated trees outside the Marble store and instore point of sale stands, to window displays and shopping bags. The instore 3D trees range from 6"
to 9ft. The smaller ones are cardboard, whilst the larger one are constructed from wood and are printed in a variety of Christmas greens and foil Golds, some are
even decorated with gemstones whilst others are embellished with LED lights.

I've taken part in a comics anthology published by Nobrow called "A Graphic Cosmogony" , along with 23 other artists who each have
7 pages to tell their tales of the creation of the Universe. (I still haven't quite got the knack of the Litho process though.) Buy it HERE.

Two full page illustrations commissioned by Germany's NIDO Family Magazine for a surreal Children's story
about a jealous little boy who inherits his Father's title of "King of the Apple Trees."
Bizarre Monty Python inspired stuff.

An excerpt from a comic strip I did for the German edition of Le Monde Diplomatique broadsheet newspaper. I plan to
upload the whole artwork once I complete an english version, but you can view the German version here. The strip has
also been printed in "In 50 Comics um die Welt", a hard back comic anthology printed by Le Monde Diplomatique,
available from their website or from Galerie Neurotitan in Berlin, who are hosting an exhibition launch in June.

Artwork for the "Topsy Turvy" themed Issue 3 of Nobrow Magazine. I think I got too cocky with the printing process and unfortunately it didn't come out in print too well.

I'm currently taking a short hiatus from illustration work to concentrate on my first full length comic book, Lichen, which will be published later this year by Blankslate Books.
